Membership

The libraries offer membership maximum for a period of one year i.e. financial year from 1^st Aril to 31^st March. All categories of users are registered as members upto the coming 31^st March, no matter at what time of the year they register themselves with a library. If the member wishes to continue avail the library services he/she can refill the membeship form and submit with the concerned library. The library membership form can be obtained from the concerned library at a nominal price as under,

• For Children (Age 5-14 years) Rs. 3/-
• For Adults Rs. 2/-

The duly filled form should be deposited at the membership cell of the concerned library along with requisite fee and verification/attestation by some local authority. The member will be issued a membership card within stipulated period.

The verifying/attesting authorities are as under,

• Village Sarpanch/Municipal Councillor/Gazetted Officer in case of general public,
• Principal/Head of Instituion in case of students and
• The DDO in case of working employee etc.

The membership fee is as under,

• Children: No Fee (Child members only need to pay Rs 3/- as form price).
• Adults: Rs. 25/- per year^*.

^* In case the member is non-resident or is unable to get the form verified/attested by some local authority he/she can still enjoy the membership privileges by paying a refundable security of Rs. 1000/- at the time of Ist registration. The security amount will be carried forward in case of renewal of membership or will be refunded at the time of withdrawing the membership.

Note: This security amount is in addition to the membership fee and doesn't include the membership fee.
