Panchayat Samiti Pustakalya (Panchayat Samiti Library), Pratapgarh

Origin

Pratapgarh is the district headquarter of the district with the same name. It was established by Rajkumar Pratapsingh in 1698.

The library was established in the year 1957.

Building

The library shares a double storey building with the District Library. The ground floor has the reading room and the Ist Floor has the Stack Room.

Location

Pratapgarh is located at a distance of about 675 Kms from national capital New Delhi and around 255 Kms from state capital Jaipur.

The library is located in the main market near the Sohan Mart. It is about 0.5 Km from the city bus stand.

Collection

The library has a rich collection of 27000+ books. The whole collection has been divided into many general and special sub-collections.

The library subscribes to 9 newspapers in English & Hindi and 21 magazines.

Membership

The library offers membership for a period of one session (1st April to 31st March) and is renewable thereafter. The membership fee is as under,

Information Technology

The library is yet to acquire computer and other related material.

Working Hours

The library remains closed on every Tuesday. The library timings vary according to the season.

• Summer (I^st April to 30^th September) 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm
• Winter (I^st October to 31^st March) 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
